You have probably already seen it, heard about it, or at least seen excitement on facebook about it. Joe is at it again, and this time he is ripping up the half pipes. Not seen too often in FGFS but Joe makes it look good. First 720, first truck tap 180, and a nice ending tops this one off. If you haven’t already guessed, Joe is a PROFESSIONAL.
I never really intended for Royal to be doing parts spotlights, or promoting certain products outside of our own, because everyone has their own preference.
But after some time of talking to Bombtrack, and having one of our riders Gabriel Garcia sponsored by BT, I got to not only get my hands one these hubs, but also learn about how high of quality this hub really is. Not to mention that Bombtrack is the only company that owns a patent on their fixed driver hub.
BT skips the fancy hub body for a sleek but simple shape, and focuses on making each part of this hub out of quality metals. The cones and bolts are beautifully machined aluminum and anodized black, driver and axle assembly are heat treated for maximum strength and wear resistance, and quality ball bearings stay sealed and smooth throughout the life of the hub, front and rear. 9T, 10T, and 11T drivers will be available. These hubs also have the option of hub guards that fit right onto the axle, and take the place of the cones and spacers, for a truly smooth grinding experience, with no damage to your spokes.
BT spared no expense on this hub.
As the old saying goes, “you get what you pay for.” It might be a little higher on the price scale, but it is well worth it, since building up a wheelset with the best hub possible will be a lot more cost effective than building several wheelsets with inferior parts, which we all know can be VERY pricey.
