Just finished last night on a Royal School/Day bag prototype and I’m pretty excited about it. Completely custom from start to finish and features:

Full Nylon construction

Ergonomic padded shoulder straps reinforced with 2″ seat belt webbing

Oversized 2″ YKK Buckles and 2″ Seat belt webbing for shoulder straps

Padded back pad with custom “R” logo stitching

Waterproof zippers

Expandable rear pocket with two 3M 2″ REFLECTIVE strips and custom “R” logo stitching

Hurley Park Session

Another flick from the LDG team! Jakob Santos, Joe Mckeag, and Congo took a trip down to the Hurley park for a nice sesh and laid it down THICK.

As always these guys are killing it and then some. Lovin’ Jakob’s nose mannies and Joe is ON POINT with that 180 bar to stall. All around a BANGER EDIT.

Back in the Day: Downtown Showdown//Long Beach

Let it be noted that this was a solid 2 years ago. March 13, 2010 at Bixby Park (AKA Chery Park) to be exact. Many of the names that we all know today are riding at this comp. There were few competitions back in the early days of fixed gear freestyle so this one was important. We see many of the tricks that these riders have more than mastered today and they continue to push the game. Riders like Jakob Antone Santos, Matt Spencer, Marwin Ou, Sean Coats, Congo, and many more.

As you could probably tell the bikes were still more reminiscent of track bikes with positive bottom brackets, straight top tubes, and 700c wheels (you even see some cats with 650s in the front). All has changed now with sloping top tubes, tighter geometry, wider bars, better bar spin clearance, and 26″ wheels (there is even talk about 24″ wheels).

I’m also glad to be on camera at 6:18 on the stage if you care (gray shirt with red and gray pants).
